Thank you so much for your advice. I have not bought the piano as my friend wanted more money than I was prepared to pay. I am still looking but I have found some much better pianos for little money and am now prepared to pay more than I first thought.

My friend has offered to sell to me his Technics PX30 but we have no idea of the price I should pay. It is lightly used and is in excellent condition. It will not include the stool and no carriage is involved.Please can someone help? [/quote]
