Thank you for your help. Its a Willhiem Spaethe. I think as you suggest see how it plays being comfortable with the instrument as you say is the most important thing.

Good Morning I have been offered a Spaethe upright piano, I've been advised its overstrung and underdamper. Dates from 1909. Just wondering if this is a good maker?
