Thank you for the advice, Colin! Very helpful and with any luck we'll be able to find the hammer. It's nice to have a little bit more knowledge on the subject so when I can get a tuner to assess the piano I'll be sure to ask about the tuning pins etc. On the plus side, if it's a school piano it MAY ...
