What is your opinion about purchasing an antique restored piano versus buying something newer. I love the look of the older pianos but I want something with a rich sound and obviously that will stay in tune.

Shattuck or Doherty Restored piano
I'm looking at two upright pianos, a Shattuck (not sure what date) and a 1915 Doherty, both have been restored inside and out. Does anyone have any knowledge about these makers?
