Kroeger baby grand - where is serial number located?

My Kroeger & Sons baby grand only has the following in raised metal letters - May 27, 1884 and Oct 19, 1886 (which I believe relates to patents). I have looked all over for the serial number and cannot find anything. Does anyone have suggestions? I am interested in its current market value. Thx.
