Re: When did you start learning?
I started learning as a mature adult and am now 51. On an earlier post I wrote that I have avoided exams but I plucked up the courage and with great support from my piano teacher I passed grade 5 in March! Its given me so much more confidence and I now find it easier to play in front of people. I wi...

Re: Loss of confidence
Hi Pianolove
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
I'm working out of LCM exam book. - Beethoven's six variations, The Owlglass, Menuetto and Drifting.
I've also just got Pam Wedgwood's after hours book 2 and playing The Man with a Crooked Stick and No Regrets.
Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Re: When did you start learning?
Thanks for the reply and the welcome. I find Rescue Remedy doesn't work for me but thanks for the book tip - I'll certainly have a look at it. I have read lots on overcoming nerves but I think I just have to get on and do it otherwise I'll be dithering for ever.

Re: When did you start learning?
Hi I started learning at the age of 35 but because of time restrictions didn't practice very often. Now I have plenty of time to practise and have re started lessons within the last couple of years. I am currently doing grade 5 but because I am so nervous won't commit to an exam which I would dearly...
