okey dokes, will have a look at the link. I think I can narrow mine down to between 1905 and 1911 going by what I've found out so far, including the patent dates inside the top cover.

sorry to dig up an old thread - you say they are dated on the keys - can you be more specific as to location as I'm struggling to find any numbers on my player piano. All I can gather, after some detective work on Google, is that it must pre-date 1911 as thats when they became Allison & Allison ...

thanks for that Bill, I'll have another look inside it (probably have to dust it first) and see if I can find a serial number or any more info. Hi All, my name is Claire, and I live in Nottinghamshire. We've just bought a late Victorian house, and as part of the sale we asked them to leave the old piano that was in part of the lounge, as when we viewed the house, our 7mth old daughter took a shine to it and happily bashed the keys! lol Anyw...
