Re: Bentley what age?

The guy we bought the piano from told us the age, how he had worked it out is unknown to me. The board that the pedals are under, where your legs go, is where the fuller date was written. Although it looked like a full date it may be something else. it was inside stamped there. I will look at other ...

Bentley what age?

Our piano tuner found a date on the board behind the pedals 30.11.34
- we were told the piano was 1936 /8. He also found on the last two
keys 11164 and on the back board 12073. Any ideas of age please?

Re: Grade 1 exam pieces

What lovely playing well done.
I played it to my daughter who is totally in love with her piano and she looked worried that you were playing grade 1 one as she thought the choices looked hard.
But the played them so nicely pat on the back.

Re: BENTLEY AGE?

The two numbers I have found on the top of the piano under the lid are 345790 and 12073 but I do not think these are to date it with.
what does everyone else think? :piano;

Re: BENTLEY AGE?

I have just found another lot of numbers on it so it may not be the date info I wanted. I do not fancy taking it apart so may never know. I was told by its last owner a composer that it had the date 1936/8 so unless the piano tuner spots anything when he come as he is re felting it and attending to ...
