Hi Gill oh dear I'm wrestling with the Eavestaff - I need to check and see about the change in direction off the strings but thereare several hammers that dont retract quite on fast or soft repetition of notes. Hi Gill I'll double check - I mean the two that stick the most are middle C and the Bb just 2 semitones below it. On the Middle C its the white on the end off he damper that is not visible - got the pink felt but not the white on the end On different keys ( B2) I've got also a couple of sticking ham...

Ok thanks all "swanvesta" - i knew it'd be something technical! I hope it is the CPL - but also I noted the damper (the reddy/pink felt) does look less on the end of the sticking notes as though maybe its got pushed back, mis-=shaped or just worn so could that be the cause of the sticking?...

Sorry I'm not a repairer so could you elaborate vis the swanvesta method and I didn't get the jargon - "CPL with the brush?"
Is this something as a novice I could do or should I ask someone but most won't touch it?!

Hi I am tantalisingly close to fixing my Eavestaff pianette (c) 1970s having re seated all the draw wires! and am 95% there o a working paino But there's just 2 notes - and hey would have to be middle "C" and the Bb next to it that "click" and the notes stay on as the damper stic...
