That's more like it... will have to think whether to splash out on fixed legs or not!

Re: Adjustable piano stool recommendations
Without wanting to sound too tight, it's £200+ for either the basic adjustable Tozer or John Austin models. Has anyone had a good experience with something a bit less expensive?
Thanks again,
Ben

Adjustable piano stool recommendations
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a solid piano stool with a wide range of adjustment? Ideally not wanting to spend £150. There's a lot of choice out there and there's much cheaper on the internet than I can find in my local shops.
Any advice welcome,
Ben

Re: Fitting grand piano in my house
Thanks both, sure it will be fine now. Would use my local movers but the piano is coming from a shop further afield and it's going to be considerably cheaper for me to use one of their local companies. They sound very reliable though.
Thanks again,
Ben

Fitting grand piano in my house
Hello all, I have sold my Yamaha U3 and am getting a second-hand Kawai RX-2. The professional firm of piano movers who took the U3 away seemed to think that it would probably be easier getting the RX-2 in than the upright. The hallway is quite small and the doors are at a fairly tight angle: I would...

Garden practise shed
Hello all, I was wondering if anyone in these forums has a purpose-built shed for practise? I'm currently looking to move to a new house but can't really afford anywhere semi-detached, so one option was to get a house with a decent garden and put a shed in. Don't know what the implications are for k...

Modifying Yamaha C3 action
Hi all, Have just tried out a 1999 C3 which has been very little played and is going for a very good price. I like the piano a lot, but found the action a little bit heavy - how easy is it to modify this? (Should add the action did seem to be functioning very well though, repetitions etc. very quick...
