Should I find another teacher?
Hi guys, Just after some advise. Starting having piano lessons 12 weeks ago, something I have always wanted to do. Arranged to have one lesson a week, but out of the 12 weeks I've had 4 lessons. Admittedly I had to cancel one when I got stuck in traffic, but the rest have been cancelled by my teache...

Re: ABRSM vs ICMA
As a matter of interest, who is your teacher and how far away is he? For me, ABRSM as they are the most popular and it's what I'm used to. Maybe it's what teacher is used to also, if it's good enough for him sort of thing. I'd just concentrate on letting him be the master, after all whatever exam y...

Re: ABRSM vs ICMA
I was intending on working towards my grades under ABRSM, which my teacher is fine with, however, he has suggested I might want to consider ICMA exams instead. Is the IMCA not the Computer Music Association? I thought that when I first looked it up on the internet, but apparently is stands for Inde...

Piano removal
Hi, Having just purchased a beautiful second hand piano, I now have the dilemma of how to move it. Having received some ridiculous quotes from the professionals, and having access to three burly blokes and a van, I am considering moving the piano myself. Any advice on how to go about it, ie what wil...

Re: Brodmann BU-121
Thank you!
Originally priced at £1,200, and she has had an offer of £1,000 so far. Unfortunately due to the distance, I will be unable to get there until the weekend, and I fear it may be sold by then. What would you consider a sensible offer for a December 2006 model in excellent condition?

Brodmann BU-121
Hi, Just after some opinions on the Brodmann BU-121. I have found a second hand one in excellent condition that falls within my price range, however I have no experience of Brodmann, having never played one, therefore I was just wondering if you thought it was worth the two hour trek to go and see i...

Hi there, just after some advice about which piano to buy. I have decided to learn to play the piano after years of wanting to. My parents have one, so I can play a few pieces, but now I would like to take exams and learn to play properly. Originally thought about a digital piano (so I could plug my...
