I had a chat with my piano teacher today and she thinks those pinao teaching books (e.g John Thompson books, A dozen a day series) are too mechanical and boring for a learner nowadays. Therefore she wouldn't recommend to use and she thinks I would learn scales/theory as I go along with music books. ...
