ribbons
if you have a large room with high ceilings and carpets then you can do well with condensor mics like the nt4/5. if you have a very dynamic player then use a ribbon mic... they put everything in its right place.

looking for a piano in budapest
yank expat living in budapest searching for a good or very good piano in budapest... at about the 3k pound price range. i would go higher for an excellent piano. i am considering doing something stupid, namely importing a piano from the states sight unseen just because i haven't even played a decent...
