Thank you to those who replied to my post. This was research for a short course - Teaching Music Effectively and was the subject for my assignment. The course has now finished, so once again, thank you for your advice given.

I have used Step 1 and Step 2 for two pupils. I think it eases them into the examination process. Both of my pupils were delighted with their certificates.

How do you keep the motivation to practice going?
What rewards do you give if any?
