Hi,
I have a 1978 knabe console and would like to know if there is glue on woodbridge. I have read that some have and other don't. Is there any video or tutorial showing how to remove it?
Thanks.

grooves on wood bridge
Hi, I have an upright console, and have very little grooves on the bridge following the notches in the direction of the tuning pins. I think that it can diminish the sustain time of the strings. How make disappear these grooves? Fill with epoxy? Sand it? other? Thanks.

understring felts
Hi, I have noticed , in my knabe spinet, that there was no understring felts near the hitch pins and the wood bridge in the third section; same for the second section near the hitch pins. I would like to know if these components are absolutely necessaries or is it just a matter of taste or brand to ...

copper strings
Hi, It seems to be a generally admited practice in the world of piano techs to turn the bass strings when they buzz or rattle. I did it on the first octave of my spinet and had a very good result; they all sound well and have stopped to buzz after doing one turn left. I would like to know if i may e...

Hi all, Is there anyone who can tell me ( in an upright) the name of the plate between the tuning pins and the metallic V bridge? It seems to exerce a pressure on the strings, and there are many big screws to retain it? Is there any silencing device on the opposite side of this? ( Sorry for my bad e...

Bearing points
Hi,
Is there any one who can tell me what are (and where are) the `` bearing points on the plate`` in an upright piano. I think it is related to the strings, but, this item doesn't appear on my piano diagramm.
Thanks
