Thanks for the replies, which seems.. yes the most logical thing to do. Forgive my niaveness !

I have a SCHIEDMAYER upright piano with serial number 19030. I've searched some sites and this serial number suggests the piano was built between 1880-1890. If so, i'm now after some rough value of it and would appreciate any advice or knowledge about the Piano. Thank you Kindly. Rob
