Composers' names are a popular choice for aliases on pianos, and german ones are even more popular! Even if this is the original name of the piano, is doesn't tell us who made it, and the source could have been New Jersey or London, so serial numbers don't help. My wife inherited a upright Beethoven piano about 30 yrs ago. We are trying to establish it's manufacturer and age. The serial No is 144616.
