Sorry for the misinformation. have now found a number on the damper pedestal. It is 40246. Does this mean something now. i presume the previous reference was only relating to the sound board casting.

Can you confirm that my grand with the reference S 35 dates from 1898?
It has been professionally restored and has only one previous owner!
Presumably it is a desirable piano to own
